Åke Seinknecht

Åke Seinknecht, born August 20, 1908 in Uddevalla on March 4, 1991 in Uddevalla, Sweden, worked as a merchant and held a grocery store at Port Arthur in Uddevalla. He spent time listening to sound recordings and radio technology. Åke Seinknecht was active in Uddevalla Rundradio which started in 1920 in Uddevalla. He partly acquired himself, building himself a comprehensive set of advanced devices for recording as well as playback. He recorded in revues in Uddevalla through Tore Uttman and from Hagge Geigert as well as other rehearsals and programs, such as children's reunion at Gustafsberg in Uddevalla in 1944. Seinknecht also recorded five gramophone records with the regional music year in Uddevalla, which was performed at the regiment gymnasium. He also performed concerts in Uddevalla church and programs from the radio, such as Germany's entry into Poland in 1939, and Norway's freedom and peace in May 1945. Åke Seinknecht was awarded the Uddevalla Municipality Culture Prize 1975.
