A.k.a. Əhməd Məmmədrza oğlu Bakıxanov
(September 5, 1892, Baku - March 26, 1973) Azerbaijani tar player, teacher, music leader. People's Artist of Azerbaijan SSR (1973), Honored teacher of Azerbaijan (1943), Honored Artist of Azerbaijan SSR (1964). He taught at the Azerbaijan State Conservatoire (1929-1973), was the organizer and director of the ensemble of folk instruments in the Azerbaijan State Broadcasting Committee (later - the Azerbaijan State Committee for Radio and Television) (1941-1973).
