Cretan artist [Violin] Uncle to Βαγγέλης Σπανακάκης Born at Asterousia, Crete, Greece He is considered one of the best Cretan violin players along with Γιώργος Αβυσσηνός and Στρατής Καλογερίδης In 1978 he participated in a tv show for young artists, when he was asked why he did that [he wasn't young at the time] he answered: I came here to win the first price and to prove to Ροζίτα Σώκου [one of the judges, that hated Cretan Music] the value of the Cretan Music and he did won the 1st prize! He collaborated with Γιάννης Δερμιτζάκης and Βασίλης Σπανακάκης
