In Apr 1982 at Athens, Greece 3 friends: Θοδωρής Ηλιακόπουλος [Drums, Lyrics], Νίκος Animal Βοσδογάννης [Bass] and his cousin also Νίκος Βοσδογάννης [Guitar, Lyrics, Vocals] created a band named Αντι-κουλτούρα [anti-culture] influenced by Punk / New Wave with political lyrics. In winter 1983 Νίκος Βοσδογάννης left the band. Then Κώστας Χατζόπουλος (2) [Guitar, Compose, Lyrics, Vocals] and Άρης Λαμπρίδης [Vocals] joined. The band renamed to: "Chaos Generation" and became part of the early Punk scene in Athens. In Apr 7th 1983 they gave a live performance at Σοφίτα [Sofita] Club in Πλάκα, Αθήνα [Plaka, Athens] with Ex Humans In Oct 16th 1983 they also performed live at Ανεμώνη [anemoni] Cinema in Αγία Παρασκευή [agia Paraskeui] with Αδιέξοδο At that time the changed their name to Γενιά Του Χάους. Before the end of the year they released along with Αδιέξοδο the split Cassette Το Αδιέξοδο και η Γενιά του Χάους σας εύχονται καλή όρεξη produced by Art Nouveau In 1984 Νίκος Animal Βοσδογάννης [Bass] and Άρης Λαμπρίδης [Vocals] left the band, Άκης Αμπράζης [Bass, Compose, Lyrics, Vocals] and Δημήτρης Δρακόπουλος [Vocals, Lyrics] accordingly took their place. In Spring they got singed by Enigma Records (2) and by July the recorded 2 tracks and participated to the first Greek Punk compilation, the legendary: Διατάραξη Κοινής Ησυχίας In Oct 3rd 1985 they performed a live at Chevrolet Pub Ιωάννινα, Ελλάδα [Ioannina, Greece] and in Jan of the same year with Αδιέξοδο at Ανεσις [anesis] Cinema, Αγρίνιο, Ελλάδα [agrinio, Greece] the second live was recorded and distributed hand to hand through bands friends, in a split Cassette titled "Η Γενιά του Χάους και το Αδιέξοδο σας εύχονται Καλό Πάσχα " In the early 1986 Δημήτρης Δρακόπουλος [Vocals, Lyrics] leaves the band and Νίκος Βοσδογάννης [Guitar, Lyrics, Vocals] became front-man of the band, it was then when the signed a one year contract with the label Δικαίωμα Διάβασης witch later renamed to Di Di Music, by the summer the released their debut album Γενιά Του Χάους This 1st press was shortly removed from the market due to bad sound an replased by a 2nd press. By autumn Άκης Αμπράζης [Bass, Compose, Lyrics, Vocals] leaves the band to play Bass for the Parkinson Square in France, Δημήτρης Παππάς [Guitar, Compose, Vocals] and Αλέξης Αλιφέρης [Bass, Compose, Vocals, Synthesizer] took his place bringing new influences, the second Guitar gave more volume to the audible outcome, their style went off the Punk clichés with more poetic Lyrics referring to inner search of human political stance. In June 22nd they played live with Moot Point, Γκρόβερ and , Εκτός Ελέγχου at Θέατρο Δάσους, Θεσσαλονίκη [Theatro Dasous, Thessaloniki] also in Nov 14th they supported the live of Ex and The Shrubs from Holland at the Club 22 Αυτοκίνηση (Autokinisi) in Athens In the winter of 1987 Θοδωρής Ηλιακόπουλος [Drums, Percussion, Lyrics, Vocals], Αλέξης Αλιφέρης [Bass, Compose, Vocals, Synthesizer], Δημήτρης Παππάς [Guitar, Compose, Vocals], Κώστας Χατζόπουλος (2) [Guitar, Compose, Lyrics, Vocals] started recording the new material. In Feb 5th and 6th 1988 they supported two live performances of Ex from Holland at the Ρόδον Club (Rodon) in Athens, and finally in Feb 20th they performed their last live performance at 127db Club, Εξάρχεις, Αθήνα [Eksarxeia, Athens] By the end of Feb 1989 their second and last album Ρέκβιεμ [για ξεπεσμένους θεούς] was released by Di Di Music, they [u]disband[/u] the same year! They performed many live appearances all over Greece, drawing alternative and anti-government audiences. In some of these performances Γιάννης Βεναρδής [Drums], Γιώργος Πιπίνης [Bass], Γιώργος Σαλιβαράς [Dums], Γιώργος Δρακόπουλος [Keyboards], Γιάννης Τρυφερούλης [Drums] and Γιώργος Κιούσης [Drums] appeared along with them. In 1996 a reissue of their 2 albums + 3 bonus [unreleased] tracks was released by Wipe Out! Records in CD and limited edition double vinyl titled Γενιά Του Χάους / Ρέκβιεμ. In Apr 24th and 25th 2009 completing a 20th year anniversary since their disband, Θοδωρής Ηλιακόπουλος, Κώστας Χατζόπουλος (2), Άκης Αμπράζης and Μπάμπης Πετσίνης gave two live appearances at Gagarin 205 that were recorded. Selections of this were released later in 2012 in Limited Edition vinyl with a free 90' DVD of the live by Labyrinth Of Thoughts, B-Otherside and Wipe Out! Records. As they said, they owned this production to their fans as a "Goodbuy", because they emphasize in the sound production, something that past live performances lack. They presented their songs in an industrial style. One more live was performed in Mar 2012 at "The 80’s Gathering" event of An Club by Θοδωρής Ηλιακόπουλος, Κώστας Χατζόπουλος (2), Γιώργος Δρακόπουλος and friends of the band such as members of "No Mind" band that also performed cover from Γενιά Του Χάους songs. In 2013 B-Otherside released a remastered reissue of the compilation Διατάραξη Κοινής Ησυχίας in limited edition black and white vinyls. Also 2013 Θοδωρής Ηλιακόπουλος published a book [autographed and limited, to 300 copies] named "Είμαι παιδί της εποχής των κανιβάλων" [Translation: I am a child of the cannibal age] and distributed by the official Γενιά Του Χάους Facebook page [not functional anymore], Άνοπτρον bandcamp, Άνοπτρον Facebook[not functional anymore] and Άνοπτρον myspace channels. In 2014 B-Otherside and Scarecrow (3) released for the first time in vinyl, a reissue of Σας Εύχονται Καλή Όρεξη In April 25, 2015 Θοδωρής Ηλιακόπουλος started a facebook page, and made a promise, to distribute for free the band's songs, artwork, facts, pictures etc. [flac format via Dropbox]. Along with the studio recordings many unreleased demo tracks were given also. In May 8th, 2016 [one week after the release of Tribute Album] he kept his promise and close the page.
