a.k.a. Ψαρογιάννης [Psarogiannis] Is a Cretan artist [Singer, Cretan Lute, Cretan Lyre, Mandolin, Composer, Lyricist]. Born at Anogeia, Mylopotamos, Crete, Greece in 1943 Brother to Νίκος Ξυλούρης and Psarantonis. Grandson to Kαραμουζαντώνης. His first contact with music was at the age of 5 through a mandolin and Cretan Lyre & Cretan Lute later on. He made his first recording in 1962 with his brother Ψαραντώνης while by 1960 he was considered as one of the best Cretan Lute players. He has given live performances in Greece and abroad. He has also made collaborations with famous Cretan and non Cretan artists such as: Γιάννης Μαρκόπουλος, Κώστας Μουντάκης, Βασίλης Σκουλάς, Γιώργος Καλομοίρης , Ross Daly, Χαράλαμπος Γαργανουράκης and many more. Up 'till today he continues to spread tradition and talent to everyone near him, helping young artists in Herakleion, Crete, where he lives.
