A.k.a. Δημήτριος Κουκουδέας (Dimitrios Koukoudeas) Σαλονικιός
Dimitri(o)s Semsis [aka "Salonikios" (= from Thessaloniki), although not true] (b. 1883, Stromnitsa, Greece - d. 1950, Athens) was a prominent violin player, composer, and leading session musician. Semsis was in charge of recordings for the Greek His Master's Voice and Columbia labels from the late 1920's until the 1940s. From 1931 until his demise in 1950 he served as Artistic Director for the Greek part of His Master's Voice. He wrote over 100 songs.
