Musician, producer and radio presenter and director, born in Thessaloniki on 18 March 1929 - died 15 March 2008 Born in Thessaloniki and raised in Athens in a jewish family, Menahem was arrested by the SS during second world war at the age of 13, and transferred to the Auschwitz-Birkenau camps. He survived from hardships, torture, famine and typhoid and after the war he emigrated to America. There he dedicated himself to music, was a very good flamenco soloist, giving concerts at Carnegie Hall and elsewhere in America, before becoming a musicologist and music producer. After 10 years living in America, he moved back to Greece in 1962. He has been a member of major record companies and the radio station "Athens 9.84" since its foundation, and he was also a program director. For five years he was president of the Intellectual Center of the Jewish Community of Athens.
