A.k.a. Κώστας Φιλίππου (Kostas Filippou)
Kostas Filippou AKA Κάρρας (Karras) AKA Καρακώστας (Karrakostas; made-up name combining his nick-name 'Κάρρας' and his first name 'Κώστας') was a Greek clarinet player (1920, Mouzaki, Karditsa – 1996, Trikala). He was a student of Nikos Karakostas (Νίκος Καρακώστας (2)), followed closely his playing style and is often listed on records deliberately as 'Καρακώστας' (omitting his first name, or even a first name initial), since his teacher was highly successful from 1934 onwards. As 'Kostas Karras' he toured with Ρόζα Εσκενάζυ in Istanbul and the US.
