Maria Cherogiorgou-Sigara was a Greek pianist of classical music. She studied for three years at Accademia di Santa Cecilia with Alfredo Casella before moving to Paris, France to continue her studies beside Marguerite Long. Born 1921 Athens, Greece - Died 6 March 2005 Athens, Greece. Since 2009 an annual Pan-Hellenic Musical Contest is being held, bearing its name, for young piano, string & wind instruments performers.
