A.k.a. Maria-Electra Zoglopitou
Maria-Electra Zoglopitou was a comic artist and designer, born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1970. In 1996 she graduated from the History and Archaeology Department of the Philosophy Faculty of Aristoteleion University of Thessaloniki. In 1997 she went to England with a scholarship for postgraduate on History of Art and she also represented Greece to the 9th Biennale for new Mediterranean artists in Turin, Italy. A unique and well known artist, furthermore also known amongst the Greek DIY punk scene for her very distinctive cover artworks, gig posters, etc., for many related bands back in the day as well as for her participation in related underground fanzines. Two books featuring her work exist: "Lost Spectrum" (Χαμένο Φάσμα in Greek, 1996) "Products Of Love And Chaos" (released after her death and it's a collection of almost all of her unpublished work, 2002) She passed away in 1997.
