Band, 1968-1973 GR
Rock, Folk and World
Original founding members were Vasilis Dallas on bass & Nikolas Tsilogiannis on drums. Dionysis Savvopoulos (Διονύσης Σαββόπουλος) was never a member of Bourboulia, though he found their name and they were his backing band from 1969 until 1972, playing in two of his most important records "Το Περιβόλι Του Τρελλού" (uncredited) and "Μπάλλος" (credited). Early guitarists included Takis Androutsos ("Το Περιβόλι Του Τρελλού" era), Johnny Lambizzi ("Μπάλλος" era) & Nikos Daperis ("Ζωντανοί Στο Κύτταρο - Η Ποπ Στην Αθήνα" era). In 1972 they parted company with Savvopoulos & teamed with Pavlos Sidiropoulos (vocals) & Pantelis Deligiannidis (guitar), both ex-members of the acoustic duo Δάμων & Φιντίας. With the mk2 line-up they released their only 7". Bourboulia finally disbanded in 1975.
