VALENTINA ZHUBINSKAYA (1926-2013, UKRAINE) Born in Kharkov. She studied composition with Vyachaslav Barabashov at the Kharkov Conservatory and the piano with Grigori Ginsburg at the Moscow Conservatory. She toured as a concert pianist. Most of her compositions are for solo piano. She recorded her own piano concerto and piano music by Honegger and Poulenc
