(b. April 18, 1940, Moscow, USSR.) - Soviet and Russian ballet dancer, ballet master and choreographer, theater director, actor, painter, poet, and teacher. People's Artist of the USSR (1973). The winner of the Lenin Prize (1970), USSR State Prize (1977), State Prize of the RSFSR. Vasilyev brothers (1984), the State Prize of the RSFSR Glinka (1991) and the Lenin Komsomol Award (1968).
