David Goloschekin (b. 1944) is a jazz multi-instrumentalist and composer from Saint Petersburg, People's Artist of Russia (1999) and holder of honorary medal Zasłużony dla Kultury Polskiej. David plays on violin, saxophone, flugelhorn, double bass, piano, vibraphone, Hammond organ, drums and harp. Goloschekin debuted as a professional musician at the jazz festival 'Tallin-1961'. He participated in various ensembles, including Ady Rosner Orchestra, and in 1963 established his own Leningrad Jazz Music Band. During Duke Ellington's USSR tour in 1971, David shared the stage with maestro, who was highly impressed by Soviet artist. In 1977, he released a debut album Jazz Compositions.
