Dmitry Vlasik (born 1981) is a Russian percussionist and one of the members of Mark Pekarsky Percussion Ensemble. He finished children's Music School studying piano, but soon moved to Canada and didn't pursue musical studies. After meeting Mark Pekarsky during one of his Russian visits, he got into percussion. Dmitry returned to Moscow and entered Gnesin Music School, studying at the percussion class with Pekarsky. Vlasik attended musicology, marimba and multi-percussion programs and graduated in 2003. Currently, Dmitry is studying percussion with Pekarsky at the Moscow Conservatory. As a soloist, Vlasik participated in the II International Pekarsky-Percussion Days (2003) and Moscow Autumn festivals (2003–2005), the annual N. Roslavets and N. Gabo Festival (2002, 2004) in Bryansk, as well as events in Lipetsk, Krasnodar and other Russian cities.
