Zlata Bychkova is a Ukrainian poet and lyricist from the city of Chernivtsi. While an actress at the Chernivtsi Music-Drama Theatre in the early 1980s she wrote the words to "Вишні" (Cherries) which, with music by composer Stepan Sabadash (Степан Сабадаш), became a hit for a number of Ukrainian pop singers including Oleksandr Taranets (Олександр Таранець), Tamara Miansarova (Тамара Миансарова) and Lina Prokhorova (Ліна Прохорова). Other lyrics by Zlata Bychkova include the words to "Буковинське танґо" (Bukovyn Tango) and "Будуймо храм" (Let's Build Our Temple), composed and sung by Pavlo Dvorsky (Павло Дворський).
