b. April 17, 1940, Kaluga. Graduated from Voronezh cultural and educational school, he worked as head of the village club in the village of Orlovka Tambov region, then to the district committee of the Komsomol. After military service he entered the Leningrad Institute of Culture named after N. Krupskaya. Ivan Kalinin began work as the director of the regional House of Folk Arts, then - head of the department of culture of the Pskov City Council. From 1983 to 1992 Ivan Kalinin was deputy chairman of the executive committee of the Pskov social and cultural development. From 1992 - Deputy Head of the Administration of Pskov.
