A.k.a. Михаил Карлович Штейнберг

Mikhail Steinberg (1867–?) was a Russian songwriter and composer. He wrote over 70 romances for many prominent singers at the beginning of the XX century, including Anastasia Vyaltseva and Yury Morfessi, with 'Heida Troika' (Гай-да Тройка) being one of the most famous. Not much else is known about his biography. M. K. Steinberg is often confused with a composer M. O. Steinberg (1883–1946), and works signed simply as M. Steinberg had been sometimes misattributed even in libraries and catalogues.
