Pavel Gorinstein or Павел Горинштейн (1895–1961), also known under his pseudonyms Pavel Grigoriev (Павел Григорьев) and Pavel Gorin (Павел Горин), was a Soviet poet, theatrical composer, folklorist, and songwriter. In the twenties, he wrote lyrics for romances by Yuly Khait and Dmitry Pokrass. After the October Revolution, Politprosvet commissioned him to write propaganda songs for the new government. From 1919 to 1923, Pavel Gorin collaborated with Dmitry and Samuel Pokrass and authored a few military songs, including "Red Army Is The Strongest" («Красная Армия всех сильней»). In 1940, Pavel Gorin went to Lvov, which was occupied by the Red Army, to create a Russian repertoire for a newly established Henryk Wars Theatrical Jazz. This Polish ensemble recorded a couple of songs translated by Gorin, including waltz Tylko we Lwowie («Прощальная песенка львовского джаза») and foxtrot Nic o tobie nie wiem («Ничего не знаю»). After returning from the battlefields of the Second World War, Pavel Gorin was writing interludes for a famous comic duo Tarapunka & Shtepsel.
