Sergey Khristoforovich Melik (1924-1992) A USSR composer and songwriter. Was a member of the Composers' Union, the artistic director of the Mosconcert instrumentalist studio, the conductor of the stage theater, the Honored Artist of the RSFSR. With his direct participation, such ensembles as "Самоцветы", "Поющие сердца", "Веселые Ребята", "Лейся Песня", "Пламя", etc. were created and mastered. In 1976 he created the VIA "Алые Маки" and became his artis director.
