Askhat Saifullin Trio was founded in 1985 by Askhat Saifullin (double bass), Evgeny Mironov (piano) and Andrey Biryukov (drums). The song they recorded together was featured on the Siberian Jazz 1 LP compilation. Many artists participated in the Trio over the years, including Igor Paraschuk and Vitaly Vladimirov, Alexander Titov and Evgeny Suvorov, Mike del Ferro and Darrel Green. Askhat often performed with a Trio and a special invited guest, either acting as an accompanying band for a vocalist or forming a quartet with featured jazz-performer. Over the years, Trio had played on stage with Vladimir Tarasov, Nicole Henry, Rosario Giuliani, Alessio Menconi, and Andromeda Turre.
