Fedor Lednev (b. 1971) is a Russian conductor and vocalist, principal conductor of Ensemble Института ПРО АРТЕ and permanent guest conductor of Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble. Fedor was born in Minsk and graduated from the Saint Petersburg Conservatory. Since 1995, he teaches at the St Petersburg N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Music College. As a guest conductor, Fedor Lednev had been working with various orchestras, including Saint-Petersburg State Conservatoire Opera And Ballet Theatre Orchestra, St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, State Hermitage Orchestra, The Ural Philharmonic Orchestra, Svetlanov's State Academic Symphony Orchestra, and Russian National Orchestra. Lednev performed with Studio for New Music Ensemble, Musicaeterna, Ensemble Nostri Temporis, and Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin. In 2003, Fedor conducted the Russian premiere of Tattooed Tongues opera by Martijn Padding. He participated in various operas, including Enea nel Lazio (1999) by Giuseppe Sarti, Jakob Lenz (2001) by Wolfgang Rihm, and Claudio Monteverdi's Orfeo (2002).
