A.k.a. ВІА "Черемош"
Soviet ensemble, which sang in Moldovan, Ukrainian and Russian. "Cheremosh" was created in 1977 to replace the ensemble "Chervona Ruta", which had moved to Yalta. The soloists of the ensemble were the younger sisters of Sofia Rotaru - Aurika and Lydia. The repertoire of the ensemble largely repeated the repertoire of its predecessor - the ensemble "Chervona Ruta". During the subsequent period, Cheremosh was led by Peter Teodorovich, who wrote hits in the Moldovan language: "Sentimente", "Melancolie" and in Russian "Daisies", which later became part of Sofia Rotaru's repertoire. In 1979, the ensemble became the winner of the first All-Ukrainian festival of Komsomol songs in Khmelnitsky, and later, a multiple winner of national music group contests, the 3rd pop art contest and the Young Voices contest. In 1985, Peter Teodorovich moved to Chisinau, and then to Moscow, where he became the head of the Theodore group, in which Philip Kirkorov began to sing. Cheremosh then moves to Vinnitsa under the leadership of Alexander Tishchenko. Another Rotaru came to the ensemble - Eugene (earlier - from the ensemble "Horizonte"). In the 90s, Rotaru's relatives — Lydia and Eugene — left the stage. A new soloist, the only remaining Rotaru - Aurika Rotaru - sang many songs for different releases on the "Melodiya" label. From 1981 to 1983, singer, saxophonist and arranger Alexander Serov worked as the music director of "Cheremosh".
