SHALASH or SHALASH BAND is a Russian keyboard-driven Progressive-Rock duo of keyboardist Dmitry Karavaev and drummer Maxim Smirnov. Both band-members are classically trained and experienced musicians who previously played with various rock and jazz groups. SHALASH perform full sound, well composed, arranged and detailed, intricate, yet very enjoyable instrumental music (somewhat of a tradition of The Nice, E.L.P. or Atomic Rooster) spicing the context up with a healthy dose of humor.
