A.k.a. أحمد فؤاد نجم (Aḥmad Fuʾād Nigm)
Ahmed Fouad Negm (1929 - 2013) was an Egyptian colloquial poet. He is well known for his work with the blind Egyptian composer and singer الشيخ إمام (Sheikh Imam), as well as his patriotic and revolutionary Egyptian Arabic poetry. He has been regarded as a voice for the Egyptian underclass. Together with الشيخ إمام (Sheikh Imam) he formed a duo. They were accompanied by the percussionist محمد علي (Mohamed Ali). He was married several times, best known is his marriage to the singer عزة بلبع (Azza Balba')
