A.k.a. سعيد خليل المزين (Saʾīd Khalīl al-Muzayyin)

Said al-Muzayyen (1935, Asdod, Palestine - 1991, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) was a Palestinian poet and political leader. He wrote the lyrics for the Palestinian National anthem in addition to a lot of other songs for the Palestinian revolution in the 1960s and 1970s. He wrote under the name فتى الثورة (Fatā al-Ṯawra (The Boy of the Revolution)). In 1948 after the Nakba he fleed to the Gaza strip where he taught history. Left to Saudi Arabia in 1957 as a teacher. Since 1959 he worked with the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).
