Salama al-Aghwani (1909 - 1982) was a Syrian popular poet from Damascus. He became known for his political and social poems in the mid 1930s which he recorded in his own voice on Baidaphon and وسودوا الوطنية (Sodo al-Waṭanīya). In the 1970s he rerecorded his old works and released them on cassettes.
