Maryam Heydarzadeh (Persian: مریم حیدرزاده; born November 20, 1977) is a contemporary Iranian poet, lyricist, and singer.Heydarzadeh is blind. She writes simple, yet deep poetry, almost always about the state of being in love. It is the simplicity with which Heydarzadeh writes that has led to her immense popularity amongst Iranians. Heydarzadeh has a very explicit sense to life and, commonly in her poems, she imagines that she is in another world.
