This 7" is the first in a small series we plan to do. The purpose is to show people in our hometown some of the bands that influenced us in the Northwest growing up.As well as getting more of our tunes on vinyl. Kill two birds with one stone. So here is the mighty 10 Minute Warning. In 1983 "The Fartz" changed their name to to 10 Minute Warning when bassist Steve Hoffman quit, to have his son (my good friend Justin). David Garrigues on Bass, Greg Gilmore on drums, Duff McKagan and Paul Solger on guitar, and Blaine Cook on vocals. Blaine quit to go on to the Accused. The band went on with Steve Verwolf on vocals. This recording was done back in 1983. It was unreleased until this 7" almost 25 years later. The band recorded more unreleased tunes over the next year or so. But that's another story for another record. Henry Rollins described their sound as a "punk version of Hawkwind" following an opening performance with Black Flag in 1983. As for today.... Blaine recently left Accused and helped start Toe Tag. Paul went on to play for The Fags, Jane County, and the Passengers, and is currently working with his old band Solger. Duff went on to Guns and Roses, and now plays for Velvet Revolver. Greg went on to join up with Mother Love Bone, who later mutated into Pearl Jam. Not sure what David is doing. And Steve went on to start Foil with members of Tad. Very sadly to say, Steve just passed away. While this record was being pressed. He was looking forward to this record. He will be greatly missed. This 7" is a little piece of Northwest history. I'm proud to be a part of it. And to those of you that have no fucking clue who Potbelly is, we're just a bunch of guys playing music, who live in the Puget Sound area of Washington State. 13 years later and we're still drunk....
