Band, JP
Electronic and Rock
Juke/19 was a Japanese underground conceptual band, found in 1978 by an artist and painter Shinro Ohtake. An active phase of the project only lasted for about two years, with four LP albums released from December 1980 to September 1982. In a certain sense, Juke/19 pioneered and preceded the unique highly energetic (but sonically sophisticated) experimental/punk style, later developed by such bands, as Boredoms. In 1996, all four albums of the band were re-released on CD by a Japanese label Time Bomb Records – both separately and in 5xCD limited edition box set.
