In august year 2006 three independent Russian electronic musicians: Dmitri Polikarpov (Stropharia), Pavel Mikhailov (Zuboff Sex Shop, Neizvestnost) and Andrey Gratchev (Neizvestnost, Yestestvoispitatel), gathered at the studio, worked and intercommunicate non stop for 38 hours. The result of that meeting was a material that didn't sound like anything that the musicians ever expected. Later on, poet and performer Alexander Lugin (Sever), who was involved into a procces, gаve a weird and cryptic name to the newborn album - "Nauch Pop La Presenta". The resulting mixture of hypnotic breakbeat grooves and techno-shamanic minimalism represents the authentic life style and mood of present-day Moscow. For this electronic release on Industrial Culture label a special analog remastering was made. Also an additional ambient composition 'Tel Megiddo', that wasn't in the original edition of the album, is now included and closing this multi-participant work of contemporary art. 3 of the Apocalypse press release 3 of the apocalypse is a joint real time sonic laboratory from Moscow. The name of the project was inspired by exclusive western 'Four of the apocalypse' by master of suspense and revolutionary of Italian cinematography Lucio Fulci. Each member of the experiment developed his own sound and passed his own creative way - together they try to express far out alchemical and existential. Urban revolution, apocalypse meditation, mushroom manifestations, spiritual revival, mystical trance or intelligent futuristic ritual - all these expressions might describe the content of the project. 3 of the apocalypse create scientific and psychedelic atmosphere by means of various rhythm boxes and synthesizers in real time, not getting into a trap of technologies but giving the preference to the search of the secret essence and sense of the sound and its influence on the universal consciousness. 'Sometimes it seems that we have already passed the day when the modern world ended. So what to do is your personal choice. We are protecting the choice to be what we used to be many thousand years ago!'
