Band,
Musician of World
Percussion ensemble from Lancaster, Pennsylvania (USA), whose work is inspired by traditional rhythms of Western and Northern Africa, the Middle East, India, and good old American funk. Every single sound is produced on an acoustic instrument, ranging from tabla drums to plastic hose, from llama nails to pots and pans. Highly danceable rhythms usually predominate, though a couple of the pieces feature freestyle fantasies of windchimes, rain stick, and the like.
