5 Star Society

5 Star Society was formed in late 2000. Band fused Hip hop with hardcore and delivered it with passion and conviction. 5 Star Society formed part of the christian hardcore/punk scene in the Western Cape between 2000 and 2003 playing alongside bands such as Aftertaste, Neshamah, Impropriety, Not Guilty etc. They have released only «Place Of Adoration» (EP) The band’s mission statement seems clear:»The creation of 5 Star Society was motivated by tasting the freedom we received from the hurt and destruction around us. Nothing we have and hope to accomplish can be done without the Grace of God, which has made us everything we don’t deserve to be. We want the people who listen to our music to feel positive about themselves and in this we would like to make a change to the world. No right has been afforded to us to judge or force our beliefs on anyone. We are merely humans and being far from perfect, we do make mistakes in our daily lives.
