"54-71" is an Hardcore / Experimental / Hip hop music group. Its members are "Horikawa Hiroyuki", "Kawaguchi Kentaro", "Sato Shingo", and "Takada Noriaki". In 1995, Kawaguchi and Sato started their musical activities together and by 1997, the current four members were performing together. 54-71 is known for the originality or their style as well as their intense live performances. Their music is somewhat minimalistic and features a particular emphasis on rhythm, with guitar parts tending to be more restrained by comparison. Sato is extremely versatile as the vocalist and has incorporated many different vocal approaches throughout the band's career.
