6:33, the deformed mutant child born of Tim Burton, Devin Townsend and Mr Bungle's threesome, was created in 2010. It released its debut full-length "Orphan of Good Manners" in 2011 (M&O), that gave them an immediate acclaim by the press, and the start of a increasing dedicated fan base mesmerized by their psychotic grooves boogie-ing over a rocking alternative Metal basis. The band has absolutely no stylistic boundaries, it's a musical UFO. After a full year of touring, securing notable opening slots for artists such as Devin Townsend or Shaka Ponk, a second album was ready to hit the world. Featuring Arno Strobl (Carnival In Coal) and Rorschach (the band's new lead singer), "The Stench From The Swelling (A True Story)" is a new inception into the twisted universe that 6:33 is trying to save himself from. Once again it was a huge success acclaimed by the press and the audience, eventually making it as Season Of Mist's (their French retail distributor) best-sellers lists upon release. Their third opus “Deadly Scenes”, produced by Kaotoxin Records, was released in January 2015. Dealing with the Seven Deadly Sins, 6:33's virtuosity claims here its will to reach operatic senses, oriental rythms mixed to their usual violent rock. Multiplying the references (Danny Elfman, Ennio Moricone, Queen, Pink Floyd...) the band goes further into twisted universes and highly creative figures. A journey into these unusual atmospheres takes us into a weird concept that just makes us want some more. Acclaimed again, some say that "Deadly Scenes" is already the album of the year. After a few shows defending this new album on stage, the press put the "new masked avengers" (as they call themselves) on the list of the best live performers. To be continued...
