8kHz Mono was formed in 2001 by Krister Hessling. Getting tired of making trance/techno/house type of music (under the name of ZKH), he wanted to explore other flavours in the electronic field. It felt like a natural step to go back to his roots; the synth music of the 80's, and so he decided to start a synth/EBM project. By 2015, in addition to Krister himself, the line-up consists of Janina Danes, Joachim Andersson & Henrik Hultin. Krister and his band-mates live and work in Stockholm, Sweden, and are signed by Progress Productions.
