The band was founded in 2012 by Rachel W Rose (Speight) and Gordon Young out of a mutual desire to do something musically, and aesthetically, different from what surrounded them. Both have had lengthy careers writing & recording, appearing on numerous releases, performing globally with a diverse range of acts in the alternative scene. The complete band line up was announced in December 2013 with Bob Malkowski on drums, and Karl North on bass. ARoT are finalising their first EP which is scheduled for release in late 2014.
