A one-off single released on a one-off label called ...brown day, a reference to the quote "everyday is a brown day." It was a subsidiary of the Hawaiian record label Hula Records. While the label clearly states "...brown day", it is only the picture sleeve that has the Hula logo. A.M.O.S. is the chocolate chip cookie entrepreneur Wally Amos, who made this record when he opened his first Famous Amos store in Honolulu. He loved the place so much, he decided to move there and make it his permanent home. The songs do not feature any singing or spoken word from Amos, but he plays the kazoo on both songs, with "Wally's Theme" featuring a simple chorus from a group of female vocalists who simply say "here comes the cookie man." The B-side is a cover of The Beatles' "Maxwell's Silver Hammer". No word on the musicians or the background singers involved, although some of the credits may offer a few clues on who may play in this. The artwork on the picture sleeve was done by Amos' wife, Christine. While the label lists the catalog number as BD 553, the picture sleeve lists it as F-553. No word on what the "F" means, as it wasn't a normal part of Hula Records' system of catalog numbers.
