Musician of Dance
A.k.a. Andrea Zaninetti
Andy started his musicial career at the music conservatorium in Milano (I). There, he studied piano and composition. The next chaptre was the saxophon study, leaded by Mario Marzi who played at the Scala in Milano. Andy continued to study music, this time with the British ECM-artist John Surman and the saxophonist Jim Odgren who teached at Berklee in Boston (USA). From Classic to contemporary Jazz and Pop, Andy played in different formations and recorded vinyls. All in all, these vinyls could be seen as a documentation of music history. Andy was on tour with different musicians, including the youth orchestra "Verdi". With the orchestra "Accademia", he won many contests, in 1993 the important "World Music Contest" in Kerkrade (NL). Between 1992 and 1994, Andy travelled around with the Italian duo "Malandrino & Veronica" and was guest in many theatres and TV-shows. In 1998, he recorded jingles for the (in Italy) popular Sunday-afternoon-TV-program "Buona Domenica". Andy was always open for different musicial influences and was in contact with lots of DJs from all over the world. So he started to play sax live when DJs spinned their records. Except of Italy, Andy showed his skills in Mexico, USA, France, Greece, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and Croatia.
