Russian free jazz quartet (AMA Jazz stands for Association of Musicians of Avant-Garde), whose manner of performance naturally bring to mind the more famous Ganelin Trio, the USSR best-known contribution to Free Jazz. AMA has much in common with Ganelin. Their music (much of it not influenced by American jazz) is quite original, it is an amalgam of various trends of contemporary classical forms, indigenous folk music, and jazz.
