This compilation was released on the occasion of Abdullah Ibrahim's 70th birthday, 50th anniversary as a recording artist, and the 35th anniversary as an artist on ENJA. Track 5 is from "Echoes From Africa" (ENJ-3047 2), recorded 1979. Track 6 and 7 are from "Mindif" (ENJ-5073 2), recorded in 1988. Track 8 is from "Desert Flowers" (ENJ-7011 2), recorded in 1991. Track 9 and 11 are from "Water From An Ancient Well" (TIP-888 812 2), recorded in 1985. Track 10 is from "South Africa" (ENJ-5007 2), recorded in 1983. Track 12 is from "African Suite" (TIP-888 832 2), recorded in 1997. Track 13 is from "re:Brahim - Abdullah Ibrahim Remixed" (NIN-1903 2), remixed in 2004.
