The project "Abendmusiken" in Basle, Switzerland presents in monthly portraits seventeenth-century composers, highlighting their musical environment, influences of teachers, pupils, friendly bandmasters and cantors. We are pleased to be able to bundle the knowledge and experience of specialized musicians from Basle and all of Europe in this series, to discover together the rich and emotionally insistent musical language of the 17th century in their diversity and to share it with an interested audience.
