Absence Of Ocean

"Absence of Ocean" was formed in december 2007 by Harrison Barr, Erik Larson, Andrew Ross and Kyle Sandhage. After playing their first show as "The Bright Lights" they changed their name to "Iconoclast". After writing songs and playing shows for several months they went into the studio to record a demo CD. In August 2008 Kyle left the band to pursue his other musical interests. Harrison, Erik, and Andrew decided to keep going and continued write and perform as "Iconoclast". In the summer of 2009 they changed their name to "Absence of Ocean". 2Absence of Ocean" hopes to build up a fan base though their music and live performances. July 1st 2009 "Absence of Ocean" went into the studio and came out August 31st with their first EP, which was recorded and mixed by Tony Bullard at Acoustech Music in Atlanta, GA (tonybullard.com). This new recording shows the diversity and range of band as well as foreshadows their future sounds. This is only one step in the bands musical evolution.
