Ace City Racers’ have just released their double A-side "Different Angle” / "Wilko" – a collaboration with artist and musician Danny Saunders, on Cargo and Do Yourself In Records. This special release on a limited edition, 7 “ vinyl was produced by Sam Smith at Green Door Studios (The Amazing Snakeheads, Casual Sex), featuring lyrics and guest vocals from Domino Records artist Saunders (Correcto) and debuted at Jim Lambie’s legendary Poetry Club. Originally commissioned by Patricia Fleming Projects for DISCORDIA, a part of Generation and the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme celebrating the last 25 years of visual art in Scotland. Ace City Racers specialise in jangular, short, sharp, sexy pop songs. Discovered by Stephen Street and, they recorded and released their first single “Waiting" via Fred Perry and Alcopop Records. Since then the band have put on a series of guerrilla art gigs at unusual locations and have picked up a few admirers along the way including Johnny Marr. The past few months have seen Ace City Racers play storming sets at the Poetry Club and Indietracks festival. The band have a forthcoming debut album – "Take It, It’s Yours”.
