Achilles is a hardcore band from Rochester, NY. Achilles formed in 2004 as a result of the demise of local Rochester bands; Building on Fire, The Breaking Project and Standfast. They released a 5-song self-titled EP,in 2004 which received fairly mixed reviews. They have since gone on to release two split albums; one with Engineer in 2005 and one with Seven Bowls of Wrath in, 2006, which they toured around Europe thanks to help from their European label Bloom Explode Records. The band also released two full-length studio albums of their own The Dark Horse in May 2005,followed by Hospice in May 2007.
