Born: Mar 14, 1938 in Bridgeport, Connecticut Died: Jun 21, 1979 in Katmandu, Nepal of hypoglycemia. Drummer of the very early Velvet Underground line-up and significant collaborator with avant-garde musician La Monte Young. Married to Hetty MacLise until his passing in 1979. Their son, Ossian Maclise was born in 1967. Both Angus and Hetty are considered legends among vintage psychedelic/avant-garde aficionados.
