Lead guitar in The Spaceshits from Montreal, Canada around 1996-1997; Guitar and lead vocals in The Hot Pockets from Groningen, Netherlands around 1998-2002; He was also involved in the projects We Are Molecules, Dessert, 'Do They Know It's Hallowe'en?' (UNICEF benefit project). He has written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Gourmet, Bon Appetit, The Guardian, the Globe and Mail, Saveur, Good, and Lucky Peach, among others. He used to be Editor of Vice Magazine. Is the author of 'The Book of Immortality' and 'The Fruit Hunters'.
