Album UK 1989 on kakaphonique recordings label
Dance (Acid House)
This edition of Live&Direct was recorded and cut live to laquer, by the master himself George Peckham at Porky Prime Cuts, Shaftesbury Ave London, August 1989. Prior to Adamski signing to MCA , his manager at the time Phil Smith (Philski) persuaded buddie Porky to initiate the idea of taking a live act into the cutting room and recording the live set using (Ensoniq SQ80 & Roland 909) straight to lacquer. George was very up for it.. but it was up to Adamski to deliver a spotless 20 mins side one at 33bpm and another clean set of 15 mins on the b side at 45 bpm. Well it went down and this is it. There was a bit of a party going on as this all happened one Saturday lunchtime, with music press and matey celebs hanging round to see the outcome. When completed the laquer was signed by Adamski along with various etched cryptic sleeve notes and of course a Porkie Primecut tag.. which is stamped into each vinyl copy for ever and ever. 500 pink label were pressed up in Holloway Rd.
