Addison played with (among others) "Johnny Alston and His Orchestra", Teddy Edwards, Art Farmer (his twin brother), Jay McShann, Gene Ammons, Charlie Parker, Sonny Criss, Mal Waldron, Curtis Fuller and Miles Davis.
