A.k.a. Adele Marie Bertei
German-born, New York-based dance music singer Adele Bertei was the keyboardist of the Contortions. Her single "Build Me a Bridge," produced by Thomas Dolby, was a dance/disco hit in 1983. She was heard on producer John "Jellybean" Benitez's 1988 U.K. hit "Just a Mirage." She released her debut solo album, Little Lives, in 1988. It contained the adult contemporary hit "Little Lives, Big Love".
